Takemusu Aikido Seminar

Our next Takemusu Aikido National Seminar has been confirmed for Sunday, February 26th, 2012 at our Fourways Dojo (Norscot Manor Recreation Centre, 16B Penguin Drive, Fourways). The seminar is aimed at the beginner student syllabus, covering basic Aiki-Ken (sword), Aiki-Jo (staff) and Tai-jutsu (empty hand) techniques.

Seminar Program
08:30 – 08:45 – Registration
09:00 – 10:00 – Aiki Ken – Ken Suburi Nanahon
10:15 – 11:15 – Taijutsu – Katame Waza Kihon
11:30 – 12:30 – Aiki Jo – Jo Suburi Nijuppon
12:45 – 13:30 – Examinations

Notes:

  • The seminar is open to all Aikido students, from any federation or style, provided they are fully insured.
  • Please bring your Aikido Card for registration purposes.
  • The seminar fee is R75 per student.
  • Ken, Jo and Tanken are required for weapons training.
  • Breaks between sessions are 15 minutes – bring some energy drinks along to replenish your energy.
  • Hakama may only be worn by yudansha (black-belt students).
  • The use of any kind of video or digital camera is strictly forbidden.
